So the world, or civilization as we know it, will end one day. Soon. Later. Sooner or later.

Let’s contemplate our ultimate demise:

Climate change… that people will finally believe in once it is too late. Too bad we are too greedy to do anything about it.
Meteor because I just watched Armageddon… so we know that could happen. The dinosaurs would concur.
From our own technology, as in AI… bow down to your robot overlords while you still can.
From our own technology, as in some orange dictator dick pushes the button and we all start a nuke-a-thon
Alien. Just saying. Aliens
A superbug plague that rapidly spreads and we have no vaccine for. Hell, just a mishap in the virus holding facilities will do it. Think of not vaccinated your kids because you don’t care if they get the measles… and maybe that newborn across the street too? What about super Ebola? That sound fun? Because when the superbugs a coming homeopathic medication isn’t going to save your ass… not that is saves it now, but it Really, Really won’t.
Zombie apocalypse. If we can imagine it…. they it likely has happened in a possible world… and maybe this world… you never know
The sun just… explodes. Or implodes into a black hole and sucks us up into another dimension that is slightly shittier than this one.

Or maybe all those religious nutbars are right… but statistically since they say the world is going to end every month, they will be right eventually.

Either way, not like humanity is going to last forever or do anything about our impending doom… so live as you will. While it lasts. After all, the odds are we will be dead before humanity is. So… good-ish? Look at the silver lining here. Unless reincarnation exists in which case the next go around might be apocalyptic Hell World… which wouldn’t be cool at all.
