I had my Haven series just on Amazon for years via their KDP program which is quite beneficial for an indie author. I have several reasons for deciding to do wide distribution and one of which is not to be dependent on one distribution company. However, that isn’t the only reason. If that were the only reason I might stick with Amazon because the KDP reads gain you some income on top of sales.
But my other reasons have made me decide it isn’t Beneficial to be locked into one company. And perhaps I have other reasons I might not want to do that that have nothing to do with my books or money. So I am going wide with the Haven series first.
I forgot I was doing this. I was supposed to in August. Nevertheless, my KDP read drop reminded me… eventually. SO … now I begin with book 1 White Witch.

I’ve wondered about the whole “Amazon exclusive” versus wider distribution myself! I’m not sure there’s a right answer, but good luck with the expanded distribution for the Haven series! It definitely warrants the exposure!
Also, can’t wait for the new book in the series to come out!!

I feel wary of being dependent on just Amazon these days although they are the Biggie in the market. So I figure why not?
