Poem: The Fall Inside

Poem-The Fall Inside

I wasn’t feeling well today. My medication wasn’t handling the vertigo well. My pain was high. I felt melancholy about the vertigo. How it is constant and never seems to end. We must feel our emotions to understand them. And I know it is just fear of the unknown future that bothers me.

The Fall Inside

I fell into melancholy,

Sweep up and swallow,

The light inside me,

To be just hallow

Sweep up and swallow,

All the deep sorrow

To be just hallow,

Life got quite narrow

All the deep sorrow.

The light inside me,

Life got quite narrow.

I fell into melancholy.
