Blogtober: NaNoWriMo prep

NaNoWriMo is in the month of November writing 50k on a book you have. And in progress book or a new one. A book of poetry if you want. Or non-fiction. Or genre fiction. Anything at all as long as you get to 50k. Then you win and they do have prizes for that. Like deals on certain things and you can buy a winning T-Shirt. Really I just like it for the sense of accomplishment.

I am thinking of writing the sequel to the book I am currently editing furiously. It is called The Lost Magic.

The sequel starts from when the other left off and I am still outlining what will happen with it. You see this will be a series and I want to figure out what sequence of events should occur in this one. It is tentatively called The Old Gods.

However, I have pre-made a cover for it for the Nano site to inspire me:

Nikki AlbertBook 2 of the Alignment smThe author is wrong because for Nano I am just me, but for writing, I have my pen name.

I have done NaNoWriMo for three years and ‘won’ every year. Led to some good novels. So this will be my fourth year, but being as ill as I am I do not anticipate winning. But I will enjoy the adventure.

This is why I like Nano:
